Blogging Anniversary - 10 years

A while ago I checked when I did my first blog post, in order to celebrate with an anniversary post. Well, that day came and went without any reaction from me. Better late than never, so here a reminder of my very first blog post from 24 October 2012.  The book was New Finnish Grammar  by Diego Marani. Marani is an Italian novelist, translator and newspaper columnist. While working as a translator for the European Union he invented a language ‘Europanto’ which is a mixture of languages and based on the common practice of word-borrowing usage of many EU languages. It was a suitable book to start with, being a book about letters, languages and memories. With a beautiful prose, the novel went directly to my heart.  "One night at Trieste in September 1943 a seriously wounded soldier is found on the quay. Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge 2022 and 2022 Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge - Author Edition

Soon we are reaching a new year, and 2022 reading challenges are coming up. I intend not to participate in too many, although there are so many interesting reading challenges out there. There are a few though, which are helping me reading books from my TBRs. Here two that I will be following. Both hosted by Lori  @ Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book - and Author Edition. The rules are the same for both challenges.

  • These challenges will run from January 1st, 2022 until December 31st, 2022.
  • You can join anytime. You do not have to post a review of the book. Books can come from any genre.
  • Children’s Books and Novellas are acceptable but they need to be over 50 Pages.
  • You do not need to link up each spoonful.
  • Make a page or a post or a GoodReads shelf where you will keep track of your spoonfuls.
  • Crossovers to other challenges are allowed and encouraged!
  • It’s an alphabet challenge!!! The challenge is to read one book that has a title starting with every letter of the alphabet AND  to read one book that has an author whose first name, middle, or last name starts with every letter of the alphabet.
  • You can drop the A’s and The’s from the book titles.
  • The First Main Word Needs To Be The Letter You Are Counting
  • Except For that pesky Q, X, AND Z titles then the word that starts with the challenge letter can be anywhere in the title.
I will fill up my alphabetical list as I read the books. They are found under my Challenges page for 2022 (soon in the making).
