Changing blogging domain and site
Dear blogger friends, Lately, I had a few problems with the Blogger web site for my blog The Content Reader . I took this as a sign that I should finally create a web site of my own. I have been checking out other options, but could not get my act together. Finally, I have managed to create a basic web site with Wix, which I hope will be developed over time. It has not been easy to find my way around. One thing one can say about Blogger is that it is easy to work with. This site will no longer be updated Follow me to my new domain @ thecontentreader.com Hope to see you there. Lisbeth @ The Content Reader
I haven't heard of this one before. It sounds interesting, and I like the excerpts.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is. If you are thinking on reading some of his books, this will be a good one to start with. Enjoy!
DeleteI have a Voltaire book I should read. Thanks for reminding me! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhich one do you have? I might venture in to another of his books, since I liked this one very much. Maybe, not all of them have survived as well until our days.
DeleteSorry about the late reply on your comment. I have been busy this weekend and just opened the computer today! I always enjoy your Friday 56 and your comments. Next week I will be able to check up the other participants. Always a pleasure to see what people have chosen.
The book beginning is lovely. I haven't read anything by Voltaire, nor many of the classics. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Me neither. To my surprise I like many of them, and they still seem fresh after all these years. Not all or course. Candide would be a good way to start. It is short, funny and somewhat hilarious!
DeleteI've only read excepts of Candide. One of the book challenges I'm doing this years tasks is to reread a book you read in school. I may have to read Candide. Thanks for reminding me of it.
