Changing blogging domain and site

Dear blogger friends, Lately, I had a few problems with the Blogger web site for my blog The Content Reader . I took this as a sign that I should finally create a web site of my own. I have been checking out other options, but could not get my act together. Finally, I have managed to create a basic web site with Wix, which I hope will be developed over time.  It has not been easy to find my way around. Bookmark Monday

This meme is hosted by Guiltless Reading. Being in Sweden we popped over to Denmark for some sightseeing and museums last week. We visited Kronborg, Hamlet's castle. It was a nice surprise and not at all what I had expected. There was an exhibition on the people having played Hamlet and Ophelia in the past. I took the opportunity to purchase a very nice bookmark.



We also visited Karen Blixen's home which is now a beautiful museum. Close by is also the modern art museum Louisiana, where we saw an exhibition of Picasso's ceramic. A full day full of culture, history and books. What more can we ask?

    Oh, I would love to visit Karen Blixen's home. It sounds like such a wonderful day and I love your bookmark souvenir!

      It is lovely and it was a nice excursion. Yes, I really love this bookmark too. They had a similar at Blixen's home, but it was to terribly expensive, I did not buy it.

I am not a professor in literature, but I would like to be. Unfortunately, this will never happen, so, I have to go along trying to read novels and literature like a professor. Thomas C. Foster's book is therefor a very useful tool. He has also written How To Read Literature Like A Professor , which sounds like another useful read. It is not only a book for readers. I would say it is also useful for aspring writers. How do you make a novel interesting? What does it have to contain? Who should be the narrator and what should he/she do? The content gives a hint on what makes up a good book.  Pickup Lines and Open(ing) Seductions, or Why Novels Have First Pages - are we not fascinated by how certain writers manage to hook you on the first sentence?
