Changing blogging domain and site

Dear blogger friends, Lately, I had a few problems with the Blogger web site for my blog The Content Reader . I took this as a sign that I should finally create a web site of my own. I have been checking out other options, but could not get my act together. Finally, I have managed to create a basic web site with Wix, which I hope will be developed over time.  It has not been easy to find my way around. One thing one can say about Blogger is that it is easy to work with.  This site will no longer be updated Follow me to my new domain @  thecontentreader.com Hope to see you there.  Lisbeth @ The Content Reader

  1. Looks like a fun list. I've got House of Mirth on my spin list as well, but as #17. Hope you get a good choice.

    1. I try to ease it up with a little bit lighter literature from time to time. I liked your list as well. I left a comment. I will definitely add the Forsyte Saga on my list in the future.

  2. Orlando's on my list too, at #11. Now to wait and see what the number is.

    1. A much heard of novel, that would be interesting to read. I have only read To the Lighthouse by her (and thinking of it A Room of Once Own) and loved the first one. The second one is somewhat difference and not a novel in this sense.

  3. so many good one. I wish you for #1! Though you need a good translation with many notes, to really totally understand what it's all about. It's heavily crypted because of the Communist censure of the time and place. if you get it, let me know, I'll give you resources

    1. I will have to get it from somewhere, since I don't have it. I usually download from Manybooks.net. Will have to check out. Will let you know.

  4. If you get The House of Mirth, you are in for a treat; my favourite Wharton and among my all-time favourites!! I'm reading The Divine Comedy right now and loving it. I've also recently heard good reports about Tom Jones. Have a great spin, Lisbeth!

    1. Thank you Cleo, Wharton has been on my radar for a while, and it will be good to start this way. I am also reading The Divine Comedy, taking a chapter at the time. I think one has to read one chapter at a time, in order to consider the words and the meaning. Have not read anything by Fielding, so this would be good to start with. Although, I think it is rather long as well.

Anna Karenina SHOULD be on my list, but I intentionally left it off as I have at least four other chunksters on the list that I'm planning on reading this year regardless of whether they make the Spin or not.

Here's hoping for a page turner!

    1. It has been on and off my list. Just put it back again. I would love to read it, but it is a chunkster and will take some time. But, if the writing is good, it should not be such a problem, once your into it. The story, I think, we all know.

  6. We share a couple of authors this spin, but as a good Aussie, I wish you The Book Thief this spin :-)

  7. Ah, I did not know he was Australian. I did try to start the book once before, but there was something in the way it was written that put me off. Friends have said to continue over the first chapters and then you are into it. A spin no. 2 will be a good way to start this book again. All reviews are raving.

  8. I loved the Divine Comedy, though it would be long for me for a spin (slow reader!). I thought The Grapes of Wrath was really good, too, though a bit bleak at times. Happy reading!

    1. I go really slowly with The Divine Comedy. Just a chapter at the time. I remember seeing Grapes of Wrath when I was young, but does not remember too much. Although I do remember Henry Fonda. Looking forward reading it soon.
