Blogging Anniversary - 10 years
A while ago I checked when I did my first blog post, in order to celebrate with an anniversary post. Well, that day came and went without any reaction from me. Better late than never, so here a reminder of my very first blog post from 24 October 2012. The book was New Finnish Grammar by Diego Marani. Marani is an Italian novelist, translator and newspaper columnist. While working as a translator for the European Union he invented a language ‘Europanto’ which is a mixture of languages and based on the common practice of word-borrowing usage of many EU languages. It was a suitable book to start with, being a book about letters, languages and memories. With a beautiful prose, the novel went directly to my heart. What a great list, Lisbeth. I have enjoyed doing this and am happy that some new people have taken this on. And to bring you back is even better. I always enjoy your lists.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the books you mention but I have "Hamnet" on my TBR pile. And of your authors, I have read Arnaldur Indriðason, Colm Tóibín, Paulo Coelho, Ernest Hemingway, Anne Tyler, and Henrik Ibsen, quite a few.
Thanks for doing this. My Six in Six.
Thank you Marianne, definitely some of my very favourite authors this year.
DeleteI'm overwhelmed at the quantity of books you've read! I'm having a good year and not anywhere close! That's an interesting list, too.
ReplyDeleteWell Jeanie, this year has turned out well to start with. I have had time to read, and many of the books I have read has been very good.

ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back and lots of lovely bokos for everyone to check out.
My pleasure. I used to do this before from time to time, and I liked putting the items together. Yes, there is a problem with blogger for the moment it seems. I had the same, but I could manually change it to my google account and then it came back automatically.
DeleteI have nothing but problems with the blogs at the moment, mostly with other bloggers who are on WordPress, so I don't know whether it's Blogger or them ...
DeleteMarianne, it seems to be the way. Mine has now stabilised at my Lisbeth google account again. Before, I had to change it manually.
