Changing blogging domain and site

Dear blogger friends, Lately, I had a few problems with the Blogger web site for my blog The Content Reader . I took this as a sign that I should finally create a web site of my own. I have been checking out other options, but could not get my act together. Finally, I have managed to create a basic web site with Wix, which I hope will be developed over time.  It has not been easy to find my way around. One thing one can say about Blogger is that it is easy to work with.  This site will no longer be updated Follow me to my new domain @  thecontentreader.com Hope to see you there.  Lisbeth @ The Content Reader

The Unread Shelf Challenge

This is a challenge just in my taste. The Unread Shelf is hosted by Whitney Conard who guides us through how to best tackle the unread books on our shelves. Once you enrol you get a small guide to follow, as you see fit yourself. It helps and encourages you to tackle the challenge in a scientific and orderly way. I am quite confident that it will help me lower the number of unread books. Go to her website to get more information and inspiration in this Hercules task.

There are several ways how to approach the task. You can name 10 top books you really want to finish this year. There is a guide to choose a book for each month of the year, and a bonus guide to further help you choose the right books to read. For me mostly, I am aiming at the oldest books I have on my shelves.

I am looking forward to lowering the number of unread books which amounts to around 200 at the end of 2020. Let's meet again in December 2021 and see how far I have come.

  1. I will probably not finish my unread shelf in this life. However, I have just entered the My Back to the Classics Challenge 2021 which should already eliminate 12 of them. 😉

    1. Exactly my idea with the few challenges I am following this year. Only those who help me lower the number of unread books.

    2. Heehee, we seem to be in the same boat. I'm not surprised, we have many common traits. LOL

    3. Let's see how many books we manage to read from our unread shelves in 2021. I really want to make an effort but I know I get distracted by other books.

    4. Oh yes, those pesky other books. Why do they have to keep appearing? ;-)

  2. Good luck! I have got my TBR shelf down to a shelf and a half through some hard work and concentration and not buying (much) during the pre-Christmas period, knowing books will be coming to me. Enjoy getting that pile down!

    1. Wow, that is wonderful. I wonder if I ever will come down to that level. I am happy for you and hope that you got a lot of new books for Christmas. I will try to refrain from buying too many books, at least physical ones in the near future.
