I can really recommend the book, which also make you want to read more of her books. I understand she was also into decorating and wrote books about it. I hope you will like it, once you read it.Lisbeth https://www.blogger.com/profile/00466904375353041610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394411873394023490.post-84878913140760834522015-07-17T14:41:32.785+02:002015-07-17T14:41:32.785+02:00Visiting The Mount is on my to-do list -- we have ...Visiting The Mount is on my to-do list -- we have family not far from there. I decided that this summer I must read at least one Edith Wharton. Maybe I should read this instead!Jeaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17482528482559445943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394411873394023490.post-69523539311507883712015-07-11T11:50:16.005+02:002015-07-11T11:50:16.005+02:00Thank you Arabella, I am sure you will like it. Her friendship with Henry James for example, and with other famous writers of the day. I will re-read 'Age of Innocence' since I can't really remember it very well, and also some of her other books. It would be interesting to read her books before and after her affair with Fullerton. I have not read Wharton but your post has tempted me, maybe I could read The age of desire and one of Wharton's books in conjunction. This is what I love about blogs, discovering new books that I might otherwise overlook.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17824748902803492123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394411873394023490.post-29351450635746917322015-07-10T22:18:53.974+02:002015-07-10T22:18:53.974+02:00I have only read 'Age of Innocence' as wel...I have only read 'Age of Innocence' as well.
